How We are Keeping You Safe

Over the last few weeks we have put in place a lot of measures to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. This includes:

  • Installing front door hand sanitiser

  • Installing screens at reception, the back wash, and where ever clients may be less than 2 m from each other

  • Installing hand-dryer in the bathroom

  • Massively increasing the disinfectant cleaning we do

  • Disinfecting stations after each client

  • Sterilising all tools (scissors, combs, brushes etc.) after every client. This includes using a UV and Ozone enclave

  • Implementing a new system of working

  • Reducing the number of people in the salon at any one time

  • Wherever possible working from home (e.g. receptionists)

  • Asking our hair stylists to wear face shields during your appointment

  • Washing all hair gowns after use

How You Can Help

You can help us to keep everyone safe by following these guidelines

  • Please don't attend the salon if you have a new persistent cough, a temperature or anosmia (loss of taste or smell).

  • When you arrive, please wait outside until you are invited in.

  • Wash your hands or use hand-sanitiser when you enter the salon.

  • Wear a mask if you can.

  • Keep your distance from others, if possible at least 2 meters.

  • Arrive on-time. Reduced clients, waiting areas, support staff and new cleaning measures means that our timings are very tight. We cannot guarantee your appointment if you are late, even by just 5 minutes.

  • Arrive alone. We need to reduce the number of people in our salon, please don't bring friends, family or colleagues with you.

  • Bring your own beverage and please take your rubbish home with you to reduce the items our staff must touch.

  • Bring your own reading material, we no longer have magazines for you to read

  • Only bring what is necessary for your appointment: wallet and phone. Try to leave your bag, coat, shopping etc. in the car or at home. The virus can stay on fabrics and transfer. Therefore, we cannot hang up your coat or bag for you. It must stay at your feet. We recommend putting coats/jumpers in a plastic bag so that they do not get dirty.

Changes to the Way We work

New government guidelines mean that we have to change the way our salon operates. There are changes we are doing behind the scenes (such as using a new cleaning regime, limiting inter-staff contact etc.). However, we also have to implement the follow new ways of working:

  • We have an appointment only system. Please don't come to the salon unless you have an appointment. For barbering, please wait outside to see if an appointment is available for you.

  • Please try to make your appointment by phone. This is the quickest and clearest way to make your appointment.

  • Unless our card machine is not working, or you do not have a card, we can only accept cashless payments.

  • If you would like to give a tip, please only give in cash at the cutting station. Simply put your kind tip into staff containers rather than passing it to your stylists. We cannot process tips for our staff through our card machine.

  •  We cannot change your service on the day if it will impact our timings in any way.

  • We are no longer able to offer any beverages, please feel free bring your own but please take any rubbish away with you.

Price Re-structure

The new government guidelines will have a massive impact to our salon. These include: increased PPE and cleaning products (at a time when these are in high demand), reducing the number of clients allowed in the salon, enforcing changes in the timings of appointments, and an impact on the services we can offer. Invariably this impacts on the finances of our salon. We want to protect as many jobs as possible, especially for our support staff and apprentices.

Therefore, we have had no choice but to amend our prices to reflect the new cost of running a salon. This has been applied to all services and all level of stylists.

We are also introducing a £10 surcharge for all designer blow-dries: curly, bouncy and straight. These blow-dries require that extra time is booked in. These services reduce the number of clients we can see and increases the pressure on our rota. We will continue to offer free blow-dries with a cut-and-finish and with colours, but this will be a standard blow-dry without the use of curlers or straighteners and will be limited to 15 minutes. We promise you will look fabulous!

Please see our new price list for more details.
